Green Smoothie

I really love the option to make a quick smoothie in the morning for the kids. It's quick, easy, the kids love them, I can pack them full of green veggies, super foods and healthy goodness, and my youngest, Greyson, will sip on it on the go. So on those mornings when I am taking Piper to school with Greyson in tow, it's a great way to take her breakfast with us. Piper is really good at eating her breakfast pretty much right when she wakes up, but Greyson needs some time to wake up, run around, play and just settle in to the morning. So on those mornings that don't allow for all that time before breakfast, a smoothie on the go is the perfect solution. Here is one of my favorites I have been making lately.

Smoothie Hack

This recipe includes my green cubes, which are basically fresh greens (kale, swiss chard, beet greens, spinach, whatever you have), rinsed, and blended in the blender or vitamix with a splash of water or coconut water. Then freeze in ice cube trays and store in a zip lock for easy green smoothies!
