In Goop Health, The Goopies

Gwyneth Paltrow hosted her very first event last weekend bringing her wellness brand Goop to life. Inviting readers to interact with the very things the site boasts. Think aura photography, crystal readings and non-toxic manicures. I had the pleasure of attending the event and what an amazing experience it was. After lining up outside the amazing event space, we were welcomed in by Goop Staffers to an oasis of endless amounts of superfoods and healthy delicious bites. Think vegan, gluten free tiny donuts (the most delicious thing ever!), to moon juice tonics, pro-biotic juices and of course bullet proof coffees. Don't forget the chia pudding jars, mango kefir smoothie bowls and the tablescape topped with fresh fruit.

After mildly overindulging in healthy bites and libations we were ushered into the presentation room where we heard speakers such as Dr. Habib Sadeghi, the man behind the infamous term "conscious uncoupling", Dr Amy Meyers on gut health.

Before diving into lunch, we headed off to a no sweat version of Taryn Toomey's The Class. This was one of my favorite parts of the day. Taryn was one of those beautiful souls, inside and out. Exuding confidence, love and light. She lead us to free our inhibitions, closing our eyes, yelling and shaking our arms and legs around. Sounds funny I know, but wow was it empowering.

After our class we were ready to explore the lunch offerings in the Goop Hall.  Some of the highlights were poke wraps with the most heavenly coconut dipping sauce, tofu and watermelon bowls, matcha lattes from Matcha Bar, and vegan salted caramel push pops from By Chloe (the kale cookies and cream was all gone by the time I made it over there).

After lunch and a little shopping we returned to the presentation room for a little Q & A from one of my favorites, Tracy Anderson. The next panel was the sex panel, talking about the topic that for some reason has become taboo in today's society. Finally we were treated to the keynote with Gwyneth herself, and pals Cameron Diaz, Nicole Richie, Miranda Kerr and Tory Burch. This was a highlight for sure. Watching these women talk about what they do in their free time, how they value their friendship and the importance of women relationships was so inspiring. I didn't know a lot about Miranda Kerr going into the day, but watching her talk about how she rescued the leeches from her leech therapy and put them in her koi pond, to her relationship with her besties and her husband, I had a full girl crush by the end.

Once the keynote was done, we were ushered outside to the courtyard for cocktails. Think collagen martinis aptly named Goop Koolaid and blue algae and vodkas. We rubbed shoulders with Gwyneth herself, but people started to get excited, asking for ph…

Once the keynote was done, we were ushered outside to the courtyard for cocktails. Think collagen martinis aptly named Goop Koolaid and blue algae and vodkas. We rubbed shoulders with Gwyneth herself, but people started to get excited, asking for photos and her body guard escorted her out shortly after.

Upon leaving we were gifted the most amazing swag bag I have ever received. Think 23andme kits, Madewell tote bag, Madewell jeans, luxury beauty products, jewelry, books, the works! I am still on a high from the event. I left feeling enlightened, grateful and empowered. Can't wait for this to return next year!

We were also chosen to represent the "Goopies" in an article for the New York Times! How cool is that?!
